If you have read through much of this site you know we are strong proponents of hiring a qualified short sale, foreclosure and loan modification attorney prior to choosing to sell your home by short sale.  The reasons are pretty simple;

  • You deserve to have an expert inform you of your options and rights.
  • You are asking your lender to change the agreement you signed when you got your mortgage/s. There are legal concerns that most people do not possess the knowledge to address.
  • Your lender may want you to sign documents that are not in your best interest.
  • Real estate agents know a lot about buying and selling property, the dynamics of the real estate market, real estate contracts and more. However, we are neither licenced or skilled to provide opinions or negotiate the contract between you and your lender.
